Just shortly after I had hit the "publish" button to share my most recent post ("The next wave of automation", I stumbled across this new video. It's nicely made and talks directly to the very same topic, though it focuses much more on the human and societal impacts of broad automation. I thought it was worth posting here by way of an addendum to my previous post. It's worth taking a few minutes to watch and absorb it.
Talking about the next huge wave of automation, how it might reshape our society, and what we might wish to do as a result, is probably the prime conversation we should all be engaged in right now. And yet, as a society, we really aren't.
